1. Grant of License & User Responsibilities

Upon creating an account, Metrino Pro grants you a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to use our web interface and API for the sole purpose of developing, testing, and deploying IoT communication protocols. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

As a developer, you agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our binary protocol handlers, except where permitted by mandatory law. This is standard for protecting the integrity of a proprietary network layer. You also agree to comply with all applicable export control laws, as our protocol definitions may be considered dual-use technology.

Developer's Constraint

"We must run on legacy hardware with limited RAM. Our risk assessment requires that any protocol parser be memory-safe by design. Metrino Pro's compiled binaries fit within 128KB, which is a hard constraint for our firmware updates."

2. Data Handling & Privacy

We distinguish between meta-data (connection logs, API call timestamps) and payload data (the actual messages you transmit). We are a middleware provider; we do not own or sell your payload data.

By using our service, you grant us a license to store and route your payload data strictly for the purpose of transmission. All payload data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Our processing takes place in data centers in Frankfurt and Istanbul, aligned with GDPR and Turkish KVKK regulations. See our Privacy Policy for detailed data retention schedules.

Data Retention (Logs) 90 days active, then archival (max 2 yrs)
Payload Data Ephemeral (memory-only), purged post-transmission
User Accounts Active until deletion request + 30 days

3. Service Levels, Downtime & What We Are Not

Metrino Pro aims for 99.9% uptime measured monthly. However, we are not responsible for failures caused by your network, your broker infrastructure, or third-party dependencies. Our responsibility is confined to the availability of our protocol handlers and API gateway.

Critical: We are not a cloud broker service. We provide the protocol engine. You must supply the hosting infrastructure (e.g., your AWS EC2 instance, your on-premise server). We do not guarantee message delivery to endpoints outside our protocol wrapper.

Common Integration Error

Scenario: A development team deploys Metrino Pro on a server with a firewall blocking UDP ports. They report 'high latency' and 'unreliable connections'.

Diagnosis: Our binary protocol uses UDP for low-latency heartbeat. Firewall blocks UDP, forcing a fallback to TCP after timeouts. Latency spikes from 15ms to 450ms.

Responsibility: Network configuration is user responsibility. We provide the protocol, you provide the tunnel.

SLA Exclusions
  • Force Majeure events
  • Your code errors in handlers
  • Upstream provider outages
  • Misconfigured client settings
Support Scope

Community support via forums is free. Enterprise SLA support (with guaranteed response times) requires a separate agreement and is billed hourly for on-call engineering.

Termination

Violation of terms (e.g., protocol abuse, resource hording) may result in immediate suspension. You may terminate at any time; data export is available via API for 30 days post-termination.

4. Governing Law & Contact

Your Questions, Our Responsibility

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any legal proceedings shall be initiated in the courts of İstanbul. For questions regarding these terms, or to report a potential violation, please contact our team directly.
